My 21st birthday!

If there is one thing I have taken for granted in the past, it is my family and friends; on my 21st birthday I realised just how blessed I truly am! The day was well and truly perfect!
I didn’t wake up early and rush to open my presents; let’s face it I’m a student and I slept in until 10 before slowly coming round and getting dressed. I only opened one present (my main one) that morning which was my gorgeous iPhone 5s in gold colour. I am in love. I know it sounds materialistic, but it’s one of the most expensive things I’ve ever owned bar my laptop, so I’m sorry but wow!
After this, I waited until my dad got back from work to open the rest of my presents. The rest weren’t horrendously expensive but they were still amazing gifts and I felt well and truly spoiled so, thank you Mummy & Daddy!!
I received money from my granddad a week before, using it to get some long overdue highlights done in my hair and also using some to book a couple of days away in Blackpool with one of my girlfriends. I also used to this money to buy my iPhone straight up.
Later in the afternoon, my two gorgeous friends arrived and I couldn’t think of anything fancy to do for my 21st so we just went bowling then for a meal.  Again, my friends truly spoiled me and I’m so blessed! So if you’re reading this, thanks again guys, I love you!
I would’ve enjoyed the whole day so much more if it wasn’t for the fact it was the hottest day of the year so far! Mmm sweaty…
There were a few cute surprises my parents had organised too including yummy cupcakes and a massive bouquet of flowers delivered to the door! So adorable and so gorgeous!

I didn’t see the rest of my family until the weekend; both my sisters came home and my granddad came too. It was such a lovely day and it was so nice thinking that they had come to celebrate with me! I also received some fabulous gifts from them too which I am incredibly grateful for.
My mum made me an absolutely stunning cake; I gave her a colour scheme and apart from that, the rest was a surprise. I was expecting big things but my god; I was stunned with the results!; A gorgeous Tiffany blue, floral, butterfly, chocolate cake, which not only looked remarkable but also tasted divine.

If there was one thing I would change about the day, is that I simply wish my nana was still alive to celebrate with me. I wish she had the chance to see me, her youngest granddaughter turn the grand old age of 21. But either way, she’ll have been watching down and sending me love on the special day.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a ‘Happy Birthday’, everyone who sent a card (I even got one from staff at work- how kind!) and everyone who were kind enough to buy me gifts.
