Review: Charlotte Tilbury skincare
I was fortunate enough to receive some samples of some of the Charlotte Tilbury skincare- The Night Cream and the Eye Rescue. So what did I think of it?
I went through my normal evening skincare routine of cleansing, then applied the Night Cream or "Instant beauty sleep in a cream elixir" if you will. So, as soon as I applied this, two things took me by surprise, the texture and the smell. The texture was almost oily but not in a good way... It was really thick and sticky and when I was gently rubbing it into my face and décollage it start to feel almost like glue. It just wasn't absorbing in, almost like glue just sitting on my skin. I'd say it was almost the same texture as a peel off mask- thick, gloopy and sticky. Yuck!

I have to be honest, I washed it off almost immediately; my pores felt clogged straight away with this horrible wallpaper paste smelling product. It definitely seemed like something that shouldn't be on my skin!
So, to the Eye Rescue cream. I gently patted the product under my eyes and around my temples using my ring finger. The "eye cream to turn back the clock" had the same pungent smell but was loads better! The cream was thick and felt super moisturising without being greasy.
The next morning, my under eyes still felt soft and well moisturised but it's safe to say I didn't look any younger! Obviously if this product is a wonder product, it would take more than one application to achieve the desired results. Having said that, whilst I would consider purchasing it in the future, I do think the products are ridiculously priced for what they are! At just under £100 a pop, I think I'll give them a miss. I was pretty disappointed to be honest and whilst I'd recommend the Eye Rescue cream I would certainly advise people to avoid the Night Cream!
Sorry Charlotte... but I've used better drug store products!

It's such a shame that the Charlotte Tilbury skincare is so expensive, I'd never pay £100 for a skincare product xx

Hi Gemma,
DeleteI completely agree.. I think some products are just ridiculously overpriced! Especially when some drugstore equivalents are just as good if not better.
