YouTubers you need to check out!

Almost every night before bed I watch new videos on YouTube from my subscriptions to various YouTubers, whether they are vlogs, beauty videos or juts general chat videos. Whilst I'm like everyone else and end up getting distracted by funny cat videos, unexplained happenings in the ocean or the top ten shadiest things about Taylor Swift... (My recommended videos from YouTube is a bizarre list..), I do have some recommendations for you.

Shaaanxo is my favourite YouTuber out there; everything she puts out is to the highest standard and she seems to really love what she does. She's incredibly inspiring from a business aspect for me as she has her own business ventures off the back of her YouTube beauty channel. She has created her own line of make up brushes, eyelashes and has collaborated with various others to create jewellery and make-up. Despite a lot of videos having similar themes as other YouTubers, Shannon always seems to go one step further and adds warmth and humanity to each video. Over the years I've found that some YouTubers seem to have got carried away with their 'celebrity' status and I've literally watched them become different versions of themselves (usually for the worse!). Shannon seems to stay true to her roots and appears incredibly down to earth. If you like helpful make-up tips, first (and most importantly honest) impressions, and GRWM type videos you definitely need to check out her beauty channel.

Shannon again? Yep! She has two channels; a beauty channel and a vlog channel. Just like her beauty videos, her vlogs are incredibly well put together and edited to a standard that I could only dream of. This channel allows you get to know Shannon better and see that she is just like everyone else; she has incredible adventures, down days and well deserved pyjama days watching Netflix. These videos can me laugh or cry; her honesty in them is admirable as she discusses pressing issues such as mental health and self-esteem issues. Seeing her walk around without a scrap of a make-up on or a hideous coloured face-mask clarted on is refreshing when you look at other YouTubers dolled up to the nine's in every single video. I adore the charm and charisma that comes across in each of her vlogs along with her partner, Hamish and her Mum who are both equally as endearing. I can't recommend this channel enough!

When I first saw the captions of Chloe's videos and some of the thumbnails I thought 'Okay, another beauty YouTuber.. what's different about her?' How incredibly rash I was! Chloe is unlike any other YouTuber out there; every video she has produced guarantees a laugh along the way. She comes across as extremely natural in front of the camera and lighthearted in each of her videos. Like Shaaanxo, there are a range of first impressions on her channel, beauty hacks and full make-up looks. There is also the occasional vlog when she goes travelling which are always nice to watch for a change. The first video of Chloe's I ever watched was the infamous 'My Acne Cure' and I instantly knew I was onto something with this channel. I've watched every video of her's since and I'm officially hooked to her channel. She has no problems with poking fun at herself and her delightful manner is something I'm yet to find a video I haven't liked yet. Go check her out now to catch up on everything you've missed so far! The only thing I will say is that Chloe tends to use more high-end products so if you're like me, you can't always appreciate the videos to the fullest as you can't afford some of the products she uses!

I remember first watching Karissa Pukas' blonde hair care video and fell in love immediately. Like Shaaanxo and Chloe Morello she comes across natural, has no boundaries when it comes to being the butt of her own jokes and her smile just instantly cheers you up. These days videos are some of the highest quality I've seen; when I first began watching her channel whilst her videos were edited well they still had a very 'girly-girly' type feel to them. Now I would associate words like polished, neat and fresh with her channel; she seemed to almost re-brand herself over night and I couldn't be happier because it definitely paid off! Her make-up looks are absolutely stunning and she offers tips and hints that make them perfectly achievable to the average person sitting at home. All the products she uses, be it skincare, hair care or make-up are almost always affordable to the average person which is even more endearing. Like Shaaanxo, she has earned her 'business woman' title by creating her own false eyelash brand. Definitely worth checking out if you like a more chilled out approach to make-up and hair! I haven't missed a video yet. Also without watching that hair care video and being persuaded to purchase Joico products my blonde, tortured hair would've fallen out by now. Thanks Karissa!

Karissa Pukas (Creeping on Karissa)
Karissa's vlog channel is similar to Shannon's in the sense that no stone is left un-turned. Whilst there are some 'Follow Me' type vlogs when travelling or going to events you and I could only dream of attending, one of my favourite additions to the channel is her TMI Tuesdays chat. These are a chance for viewers to ask any question and get it answered thoroughly whether you're genuinely curious or just a nosy bugger. Her videos can also include important matters such as mental health and wellbeing. Karissa is a terrific role model for wellbeing; being vegan she regularly posts videos about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle whilst eliminating certain foods from your diet. She's an advocate of the physical and mental benefits of exercise. She comes across as really down to earth and seeing her fan-girling at a Blink 182 concert makes her even more relatable to me. Keep up the good work Karissa!

I'm relatively new to Iskra's YouTube channel despite being aware of her self-esteem work for a long time. Wow. Every time Iskra posts a video I am mentally saying 'Preach!' to everything she says. A stunning model herself, she is well aware of how important self-care is in this day and age and strives to be different from other YouTubers by being entirely open and honest about the impact social media can have on both sexes. There are still beauty videos on her channel such as make-up and skincare routines which are equally refreshing and enjoying to watch. However I must be honest and say that I stay subscribed to her channel for her chat videos. I haven't yet found anyone quite as inspiring as her on YouTube; sure there are similar channels and a lot of YouTubers will discuss similar issues but Iskra seems to get the points across slightly better. Whether it's her natural charisma that captivates you or her brutal honesty but there is definitely something which keeps drawing me back to her channel.

If I'm honest I can't actually remember how I first discovered Michelle's channel but I'm certainly glad I did. Her softly spoken Irish accent is beautiful to listen to as she chats while applying her polished and stunning make-up. Her channel mainly consists of beauty videos but she does upload other videos too such as lifestyle type videos that can give you tips and tricks to get by in certain situations. Her videos are precise and to the point and she doesn't waste airtime; each video is completed to extraordinary standards whilst still allowing her warmth and character to come across well. I can see her channel growing and growing until she takes over YouTube with her wonderful videos. Keep at it girl, you do you!
